Villiger Cabarete Maduro

Cabareté starts with a Nicaraguan maduro wrapper that sits on top of a Dominican Cuban seed binder and four types of filler from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua: Piloto Cubano, Criollo, San Vicente & Ligero Cubano. It too is made at Tabacalera La Palma and is box pressed.

I have only been enjoying cigars for about a year now, so this may not be an "experienced" review since I don't go in for terms such as "peppery, nuts, spice...". In other words, I'm no Cigar Vixen or CA staffer. I am also one of those guys that is not in a financial position to buy $20 sticks. I do know what I like, though - a good tasting cigar that burns even and draws great right down to the fingers. Call it what you want, but a cigar that doesn't get bitter at the end will be a stick I buy again and again.

Cabarete has these qualities and more. I have smoked both the Toro and Robusto and have yet to find a flawed stick. Pre-flight scent and draw are top-notch and inviting, with the scent being the same as a good, true Cuban. Up until the last third, the flavor was pretty consistent. The last third was a bit stronger, though still very much enjoyable and not bitter. It is one of those cigars that when your fingers start burning you say to yourself "Damn! Gone already?" So I bought a box!

Cheers, mates, and I hope you enjoy this herf as much as I do!

Average at best. Not much flavor in this stick. Pretty loosely packed so the draw didn't render much smoke.
